Tomorrow, I am leaving to spend the weekend with my family and attend memorial services for my uncle, Gary Wright. People have been writing wonderful things about his life and his career as a musician on both his Facebook page and on websites like these:

I still can’t believe that he’s gone. It’s not even been a full year since he was diagnosed with cancer, so the whole thing happened very quickly. But it’s reassuring to see so many people share kind stories and pictures of him. He had a lot of friends and bandmates, and he had a powerful effect on everyone that he knew. My whole family loves music and plays, but he lived music in a way unlike anyone that I’ve ever known.
