November Reading Journal: Witches Theme

I’m a little sad that October is over and spooky season is ending. But Halloween was a lot of work, so I’m also relieved that it’s finished and now I can recover. I managed to still get a lot of reading done, some books with a spooky theme and some that were just on my TBR.

Here’s the monthly reading wrap-up for October:

It’s raining and cold, so now is the perfect time to curl up under a warm blanket and read a book. I thought about just doing a cozy fall theme and I’ve seen a lot of great designs by other artists this month. But there is one theme that has been in the back of my mind all year, and since I’m not fully ready to give up Halloween, I decided that now was the perfect time to bring it out.

Of course, I mean witches! We have some cozy witch vibes. Part of me wishes that I could live in a little cottage in the woods with drying herbs hanging from the ceiling and a garden growing outside. But I also have a lot of celestial/space themed witchy items that worked into the design. That’s the idea behind this theme.

The big sticker is from Sweet Kawaii Design and so is the matching washi. The stardust washi is from Simply Gilded. Other stickers came from the Stargazer collection by Happy Planner and some are from my Stickii Club subscription.

Since it’s the first day of the month, I haven’t finished any books yet to show an example layout. But I think you have a good idea of what my entries look like by now. There will be more updates from this month later.

And then I have to pick the final layout of the year and figure out what annual overview I want to do with the final pages. I’m thinking of trying to record a video to show a flip-through of the completed journal. Are you interested in seeing the whole thing? Let me know!
