September Reading Journal: Cozy Nook Theme

It’s time for another reading journal update! I am sad to see the end of summer creeping up on us, although I’m currently in the middle of a massive heat wave. Fall is a great time for cozy reading inside, and this month’s theme showcases some things I’m looking forward to in the coming season.

But first, let’s check on August’s final update to see how many books I read!

So many books! I was trying to help my team in the reading challenge catch up, but I think we are finishing last place. The other teams were just so far ahead of us. It was still great to participate in the summer reading challenge and we are already brainstorming ideas for our next one! And I can’t complain about my personal numbers. I’m well on my way to reading over 100 books this year.

The theme for September was once again inspired by the subscription box by Simply Gilded, called Calm Corner. It’s full of cozy things like books and plants. I paired it with some cute cat and book stickers from Stickii Club and this is what I came up with:

Lots of highly-anticipated releases this month, too! I’m scrambling to finish Harrow the Ninth right now before the next book in the Locked Tomb series comes out next week. And I’m sure I’ll drop everything the minute The Golden Enclaves shows up to finish The Scholomance series.

I hope you enjoyed seeing my September reading journal theme. And I’m still working on my design for my reading journal next year. I think it will be printable and I can collect the pages inside a ring binder so I never have to worry about running out of space, and I’ll be able to move things around as needed. You can see a current example (not the finished version, because I am still tweaking things) in this picture:
