Oh, my. I’d hoped to have more time to work this week, but it ended up being quite busy again. I did do revision on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, and I actually got a lot done, bringing me up to 65/90 scenes revised–more than two-thirds of the way there! Depending on how much I do on the weekend, I may actually finish revising Witch Hunt before the end of the month.
I also wrote two chapters of Witch Gate this week, and I believe that I will write the last chapter on Monday. So the first draft of book three will be finished.
That leaves me with two major projects finished this month (or the first few days in April, if I end up having to push these out a bit), and lacking in something new to do. I have started research toward the idea of planning my sequel to A Flight of Marewings, but I’m nowhere near prepared to writing a whole new novel yet. I could spend April just researching and planning . . . but it’s Camp NaNoWriMo, and I want to write something!
Since Camp is a “write what you want” session, I’m thinking about doing a whole bunch of short stories. These are easier to “pants it” without an outline, and I have several ideas already kicking around. For example, more short stories for the Tales of Wyld Magic series, on everything from pirates to dragons. Also, at least two short stories involving Rosa and her friends. And I could explore some new stories and characters as well. So I will probably do that. Look for more short stories coming soon!
Exciting times! Accomplishing goals. Yay. I hope the rest of my team is doing well, because I haven’t had much time to check in on them. You still have a few days left in March, Team Denali! Don’t give up yet . . . and then April is another month to start fresh!
